A loan of $7,750 helped to cover her education expenses.

Adrianny Massiell's story

Adrianny Massiell is a young marketing student. She's requesting a loan to be able to pay for her studies. This is her story:

I'm Adrianny Massiell. I'm 21 years old and I live in the eastern area of the city of Santo Domingo with my mother. I'm the youngest of three siblings; my father's a taxi driver and my mother's a homemaker.

A few years ago my mother had a grave illness and my father was run over and left with permanent injuries. This has meant that what little income we have has gone to their health.

I would like to enroll in the master's program in marketing in Universidad Apec because I love the business world. I'm very creative and casual, and this profession allows me to apply everything that defines me.

I have liked to study from a young age. I was known as a student in my high school and basic education years, and I want to continue to grow and become a good professional in the field. I would like to make the most of the double degree program the university offers and then do a specialization. I also want to help my family pay for my parents' treatments and build them both a better house.

The approval for this loan is of vital importance to me and my family because, without it, it would be impossible to study in this university, which is considered the best in the field of marketing. My family can't help me with the expenses because my father's income as a taxi driver isn't enough to support a household of five people.
