Sad 7 Group's story

The Economic Interest Group (GIE) Sad 7 is made up of ten people who all live in the same neighbourhood, and all run the same type of business.

Mamadou (with his hand raised in the photo) is the president of the group. He is married to two women, and has five children. He is the only person responsible for the day-to-day financial needs of his family. Mamadou is a farmer and grows vegetables, he has more than ten years' experience in his business.

Mamadou will use his loan to buy fertilizer and seed, such as carrots, cabbages, chillies and peanuts.

In the future, with the help of loans from the field partner, Mamadou would like to become a vegetable supplier to wholesalers.
