Zubaida's Group's story

Zubaida S. K. is the wife of S. K. and lives in Kasur city, Pakistan. Kasur city is famous for its sweetmeat and historical places. She has been living in this city for the last 40 years. Zubaida baji's husband is a milkman, selling milk from his own buffalos. He has been in this profession for the last 50 years. Zubaida baji successfully repaid her first loan from Asasah (a microfinance institute of Pakistan). Now she is applying for a second loan to buy another buffalo to expand her husband's milk business.

She is joined in her loan group by a few more members. Maqsoodan M. wants a loan to buy fruits to resell. Safia K. A. wants a loan to buy more milk to resell. Asia H. C. also wants a loan to buy a buffalo for her milk business. Sakina B. A. wants a loan to buy clothing to resell.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
