A loan of $375 helped to buy a young bull.

Eleodoro's story

Eleodoro is 42 years old. He lives with his children and his wife in a house that he owns in the district of Pucará, a community known for its warm climate. The people there work in agriculture, commerce, and livestock production. It is two hours from the city of Jaén in the Cajamarca region on Peru's northern coast.

Eleodoro earns his living providing agricultural plowing services. This business consists of yoking two bulls of equal size with a tool centered between them to remove soil and prepare the land for planting. He also works in planting, harvesting, and weeding rice paddies.

He has requested a loan of 1,000 nuevos soles [PEN] to invest in the purchase of young bulls to continue providing his plowing service so that he can generate a better income for his family.
