A loan of $375 helped to buy pigs and feed for fattening up animals.

Roberto Carlos's story

Roberto Carlos is 34 years old and lives with his wife and three children in La Polvareda village in the Oyotún district Here, the community works in agriculture, business and cattle raising. Oyotún is two hours away from the city of Chiclayo, on Peru's northern coast.

Roberto makes a living raising poultry and pigs in the area behind his house. He also works as a farm labourer in the area. Roberto is applying for a loan of 1500 Nuevo Soles in order to buy pigs and animal feed, in order to improve production. This will give him a higher income for his family.
