Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $1,500 helped to purchase two cows to produce milk and cheese to sell.

Ada De Jesús's story

Ada is 40 years old and is a single woman who studied until the 9th grade. She gets up at 5 am to start her work farming, consisting of the cultivation of maize and the care of animals (cows), a trade she learned from her parents.

The loan she is applying for from Fundación Campo is to purchase two cows to produce milk and make cheese to sell to her neighbors around where she lives.

Later, she hopes to buy more animals and to produce more milk for sale.
