A loan of $775 helped purchase a bus.

Aida's story

After her divorce, Aida decided to start a business that would allow her enough earnings to get ahead and live comfortably. She realized that her neighbors were struggling to take their children to school due to living in remote areas of the neighborhood. She saw the opportunity to start this business since there were so many school-aged children. She began taking children to elementary school, and as time passed she decided that it was also possible to take those who go to secondary school since there were also a large number of them. It has been going very well for her, but she has the desire and the interest to expand her business and extend to other surrounding neighborhoods as well as the schools in the same sector.

She needs a loan of $775.00 US which will be repaid in 6 months in order to buy a bus for school transportation and thereby expand her business. She has complete faith that with the support of Kiva she will obtain her credit and will be able to expand her business. This will in turn allow her to support the mothers of the families with children.
