A loan of $9,500 helped a member to buy 125 sacks of charcoal.

La Reponse Group's story

Ntahunga is a retailer and a member of La Reponse Group. She's an energetic and experienced entrepreneur. She's 46 years old, married, and the mother of ten children, who all go to school.

She sells charcoal. Her husband is also a merchant. She's seeking a loan from Kiva's partner, Hekima, to buy 125 sacks of charcoal in order to increase her business.

She started off with funds received from her husband. In the future, she wishes to build a nice house for her family, expand her business, and provide clothes, food, and education to her children.

She thanks Hekima for its support towards female entrepreneur who are excluded from the traditional banking system, by granting them microloans without tangible security, especially during this time of conflict in the East of the country.
