Gulsaira's story

Gulsaira is 52 years old, married and, with her husband, is raising two sons. Gulsaira has a high school education. She is a responsible and a punctual person, who has the experience in running the household and in investing her money into the right channels. Her neighbors characterize her as an exemplary person and a great mother. The main income to Gulsaira's family comes from raising livestock, a business that she started 12 years ago with a purchase of cattle for 20,000 KGS. Thanks to her hard work, she now has two milking cows, two heifers and 35 sheep. Gulsaira's household has all of the necessities required for raising cattle.

Gulsaira applies a lot of skill and patients to keep expanding her herd year to year. Her husband helps her with raising of livestock. Her monthly income is 10,000 som (KGS). In order to further her business, Gulsaira turned to the Microfinance bank of Bai Tushum and Partners for a loan to purchase additional sheep. Profits from her business she is planning to reinvest into further expanding her herd and to save some for the purchase of a car.
