A loan of $600 helped to purchase 30 pieces of leso cloth for resale.

Meswaleh's story

Meswaleh is a married woman with four school-going children. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.

For the past three years, she has operated a business of selling leso cloth (women's wraps). She faces a major challenge of seasonality in her place of business. She dreams of expanding to become a big supplier of clothes in the future.

With 50,000 Kenyan shillings, she wants to purchase 30 pieces of leso cloth for resale. She decided to join Yehu to access loans in order to boost her business.
