Estrellas Brillantes 1 & 2 Group's story

Rosa is the coordinator of Las Estrellas Brillantes (Shining Stars) Group 1 and 2, which consists of 10 micro-entrepreneurs from Samana. Samana is a tourist city located in the northeastern part of the country.

Rosa is the mother of two children. She lives with them and her long-term partner. She sells groceries at her food market, which is called a "colmado" in the Dominican Republic. There she sells daily meals to her neighbors.

She started her business almost eight years ago with her own savings. Now she is requesting her seventh loan. She will use this loan to buy flour, cooking oil, butter, rice, beans, sugar, and other goods. Previous loans have improved her business.

Rosa wants to save her profits to reinvest into her business, and build a house with a better structure than the one she currently has. Rosa and her group thank you all for your support.

In this group: Rosa, Alejandrina, Lourdes, Jennifer, Mirtha, Veronica, Yasmili, Milody, Carmen, Cecilia
