Fatmata's story

Meet Fatmata. She is a 34-year-old woman from Waterloo Eastern area in Freetown. She is married with 4 children between the ages of 2 years and 9 years. One of her children is currently attending school.

For the past 16 years, Fatmata has established a food container business within a busy market area. She began this business because she wants to empower herself with business. She works at the business from 8:00am until 7:00pm, 7 days per week. She says that the main challenge to this business is that during the rainy season sales are very slow.

Fatmata requires a loan in order to purchase more rubber bowels, buckets, and baskets for resale. She hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow her to increase her business and start a savings account. In the future, Fatmata plans to expand her business more than ever. She thanks you for your support.
