Saroen's Group's story

Saroen, 52, lives with her husband in a village in Kampong Cham province’s Ponhea Krek district, Cambodia. She and her husband have been making a living by farming rice and growing cassava for several years. The current business earns her about 72,000 KHR per day. Saroem’s group consists of two members who live in the same village and are just with VisionFund this cycle. As group leader, Saroem is going to use her portion to pay for labor fees in harvesting cassava. With this loan, she hopes to increase her family’s income so as to make a better living.
