A loan of $525 helped a member to buy raw materials to make sweaters.

Dúo Las Victorias Group's story

Santa Victoria is from the Xetzac village in the municipality of Tecpán, Guatemala. She is 43 years old and has three children in her care. She makes a living by making and selling sweaters. Years ago she started her own business, and thanks to God it has now grown quite a bit. She now has other machines and is able to make various styles of sweaters. Thanks to the support of her husband and that of her children, she keeps moving ahead with her work.

She used the loan that she received to invest in raw material to be able to make her sweaters, as now at the end of the year she gets requests by the dozen. Her dream is to expand her business more and to offer more styles of sweaters to her customers. That way she will have better earnings and will be able to send her children to study at a high school, as nowadays it is very important that children prepare themselves academically for a better future.
