Presiñano, 55, lives with his wife in the Cayaltí district, located two hours from the city of Piura on Peru's north coast. The residents farm, run businesses, and raise livestock. Presiñano raises and sells small animals like ducks, guinea pigs, and turkeys in his backyard. He has applied for a loan of 800 nuevos soles to buy feed to fatten his animals so that he has more stock to sell to customers and can earn more for his family.
