A loan of $700 helped to buy groceries, toiletries, beverages and other products to sell.

Carmelita's story

With her prior loan, Carmelita was able to buy more products for her variety store. Her loan also helped in her gardening business and she bought gardening materials and supplies such as seed and fertilizer. The income from her business is assisting with her everyday expenses at home. She continues to work to provide for her needs.

Carmelita is requesting another loan for 30,000 PHP, which she will use to buy groceries, toiletries, beverages and other products to add in her current inventory. The more items displayed at the store the better. More items to sell will result for better profit. Her profits from business will definitely help her to sustain her daily needs. She looks forward to this financial increase with gladness and thankfulness in her heart.

Carmelita dreams that her business will continue to be successful and hopes to have a better living. She meets up with her co-fellowship* members every week to share stories of her work and where she also draws strength and inspiration from the Word of God that she studies.

* All CCT community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay Micro Finance loans.
