La is 37 years old. She is married and resides with six children in Kampong Speu Province, Cambodia. To earn a living, her husband runs a bicycle repair shop. He earns about USD 2 per day. Four of her children are employed in a garment factory. They make an income of USD 14 daily.
Due to lack of funds, La asks for a loan of USD 1,500 to pay for her child’s wedding expenses.
In the future, she would like to run a tailoring shop at home for her children and help her youngest child earn a higher education. Moreover, she wants to rebuild her house to make it bigger, to provide enough space for her family’s living.
