Rehana Group's story

Rehana is 46 years old hard working woman. She lives in Lahore, Pakistan with her husband, 2-sons and 4 daughters. All of her children are studying in school. Her husband owns a butcher shop in the main market which is the only source of income for their family. His monthly net income is insufficient to meet the family needs. Presently, he needs an additional capital to purchase bull calf to get meat. For that reason his wife, Rehana, as member of 2-person lending group, has requested a loan from Kiva's partner BRAC Pakistan to help her husband. As their family expenditures are too much, as compared to the monthly income and savings. Rehana wants to open a new shop for her husband, with the profit amount. As a result of this, they can increase their monthly income as well as savings. Her dreams are for higher education for her children. She is very much thankful to Kiva for such a great help and kindness.
