A loan of $1,250 helped to buy cows.

Batma's story

Batma is 47 years old, widowed, and raising 2 children by herself. Her older daughter is 17 years old and is a student in the eleventh grade. Her son is 13 years old and a student in the seventh grade. Batma and her children were left without the main member of their family, without a father and husband. She dreams that her children will study at a prestigious university so that the will have good jobs. Unfortunately, Batma only finished secondary school and for the last 16 years has been in the business of animal breeding. She started this business 16 years ago, with an initial purchase of cattle in the amount of 10,000 som (KGS). Thanks to Batma's hard work, she currently has 2 milk cows and 15 sheep on her farm. Her monthly income is 7,000 som (KGS). For the purpose of further developing her business, Batma turned to Microfinance Bank "Bai Tushum and Partners." She is requesting a loan to buy cows to increase the size of her herd. Batma plans to invest the earnings from the loan in the further acquisition of livestock. She also intends to save money for the future education of her children.
