Mamuka's story

Mamuka is 28-year-old married man. He lives in a small village of the Gurjaani district with his wife and three children. Mamuka is involved in agricultural activities. In particular, he has a vineyard and sells grapes.

As the income is only seasonal, Mamuka decided to start his own and more stable business, and requested a loan. The Start Up program, which is a joint initiative with Kiva and Credo, enables him to get a loan of $3,000 to start a trading business.

With the received credit he will purchase cattle and then resell at a higher price. This will increase the income of his family, and with increased income he will be able to improve their living conditions.
