Masala Group's story

In the photo are members of the Masala Group. They are small-scale businesspeople, based in Makeni, a city in northern Sierra Leone. The featured leader of this group is Mohamed. Mohamed is age 40. He was born in Makeni city, where he is currently residing, together with his wife and five children. His wife is a businesswoman and his children are attending primary and secondary schools.

For 15 years now, Mohamed has been selling mobile phones, DVDs, DVD players, and other electrical equipment. With this loan, he is going to buy a large quantity of mobile phones, DVDs, DVD players, and other electrical devices, to add to his current stock.
