Rem is 49 years old. She is married and resides with four children in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. She has been selling vegetables for more than five years, earning approximately $10 per day. Her husband is a motor taxi driver who earns about $5 daily. One of her children in employed in an organization and makes an income of $3 each day.
Rem is asking for a loan of $1500 to purchase a plot of land next to her house. This purchase will help her obtain a better place to build rooms for rental. By doing so, she will make more income for the family. In the future, she would like to purchase a store at the market and help her children earn higher education.
