Dukomere Group's story

Zainabu is a member of the Dukomere group and lives in Bujumbura. She is 39 and is married to Rémy, a farmer. Together they have four children, from 1 to 13 years of age, three of whom are in school.
She has been a reseller of clothing and tomatoes for eight years. She is on her seventh loan with Turame. With the KIVA loan she hopes to obtain, she will increase her working capital and will purchase a large quantity of outfits and tomatoes, in order to increase her income.
In the coming years, she would like to buy a plot of land, and to see her children complete their education.
