Suhrob's story

Suhrob S. works in a unique business, he slaughters livestock and sells meat. He is 28 years old, is married and has 3 children. He has a college education. Suhrob became an entrepreneur in 2002. He sells beef and lamb. This is a family business and has been passed down from generation to generation. Suhrob also sells beef and sheep fat. He sells the animal hair to leather workers. Two times a week Suhrob purchases livestock for slaughter and sells their meat in a rented location. He has regular customers, residents purchase meat for consumption and canteens purchase it for cooking dishes that they sell.

When Suhrob heard about Kiva he decided to participate and to take out a loan of 4100 somoni ($1200) in order to purchase large livestock.
