A loan of $2,600 helped to buy two dairy cows.

Laura's story

Laura is a young struggling farmer, 21 years old, and the mother of a 4 year old son. She lives accompanied by her life partner. Ever since she was young her parents have taught her everything related to farm work, and as a result she has been able to work as an employee on various dairy farms.

She is in charge of caring for and milking the cows. Some time ago she obtained her first dairy cows and since then she has been handling the success of her business independently. Everything produced is sold and so this generates the financial resources sufficient to assist her husband with the household expenses.

Currently she is asking for help with financing as she wants to buy two dairy cows which will permit her to increase her production and thus cope with the challenges she faces such as low sale prices and the high cost of agricultural supplies that she needs to care for the animals. However, she is aware that to achieve her goals, she must continue fighting with care, discipline, and dedication. Only then will she be able to achieve the dream of expanding her business and of buying a greater number of dairy cattle that will guarantee a favorable financial stability in order to be able to offer her son a better education and to enjoy a better quality of life in the company of her loved ones.
