Emilia's story

Emilia, age 64, lives with her husband in the Zaña district. The population there works in agriculture, commerce, and with livestock. It is two hours from the city of Chiclayo on the northern coast of Peru.

They have a small grocery store where they sell basic needs products. Her business is located in the back part of her house.

She has requested a loan for 2,500 soles to buy groceries like rice, cooking oil, sugar, and flour, among others. This way she will stock her business with the purchase of more merchandise to offer her customers. She will be generating greater income for her family.
