A loan of $900 helped to buy groceries to stock his shop.

Lorenzo's story

Lorenzo is 30 years old and lives with his wife and children in the Cañaris district, two hours from the city of Chiclayo on the north coast of Peru. The people here work in agriculture, livestock and in commerce. Lorenzo and his family have a small shop where they sell everyday groceries such as milk, sugar, rice, oil and other items. Lorenzo has asked for a loan of 2501 nuevos soles to buy groceries such as vegetable soup, noodles, grains, fizzy drinks and sweets so he can stock his business to offer his customers a better variety of products.
