Hortencia's story

Hortencia, 50, lives in the district of Niepos which belongs to the province of San Miguel. The local people are involved in agriculture, commerce and livestock-farming. It is two hours from the city of Cajamarca in the northern mountain range of Peru.

She has a bakery set up in her house where she makes bread and cakes. She has five years' experience and is very well known in the area.

Hortencia is requesting a loan in the amount of 2,000 PEN to buy ingredients such as flour, baking powder and sugar to increase production for her customers and generate more income for a better quality of life.
