Inyishu Group

A loan of $1,800 helped a member increase her working capital and buy a lot of clothes and a lot of vegetables (tomatoes, onions, ...) for retail sales, to earn more.

Inyishu Group's story

Tatu is part of the Inyishu group and lives in Bujumbura. She is 45 years old and is married to Hussein, a welder. Together they have 7 children aged 6-20 years, of whom six are in school. She has two other children under her care, members of her extended family, who both attend school.

She has been trading clothes and vegetables (tomatoes, onions, ...) for the past two years.

This is her fourth credit loan with Turame. Once the Kiva loan is obtained, she will increase her working capital and buy a lot of clothes and a lot of vegetables (tomatoes, onions, ...) for retail sales, to earn more.

In coming years, she would like to buy a plot of land and build a house.
