Rios De Agua Viva Group's story

The lending group "Rios de Agua Viva" will begin their 11th cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the focal center of the Andes. The group has 8 members and a board of directors led by the president, Ines. The lending group members have various businesses including: food service, making clothing, selling groceries, and making party favors.

This loan will benefit small business owners like Ines, who has been with Pro Mujer for 7 years, joining at the invitation of a friend who is a member. Currently she has a business making and selling party favors. She started the business some years ago, having previously worked in a similar shop. After getting married she decided to open up her own business. This loan will be used to buy paper and cardboard in the wholesale shops in El Alto that she will later use to make her product. This work allows her to generate income to sustain her family - she is married and has three children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she says that she likes the health information and working with a group.
