La Cruz Group's story

Herlinda is 30 years old and has a partner. She did not have the opportunity to go to school but now hast three children, two of whom are in school. Herlinda makes a living knitting typical regional products. She started this business when she learned this trade from her mother. She now has ten years experience.

Herlinda is organising a group and applying for a loan, which will be used to buy threads in order to produce her knitted products. In the future Herlinda wants to to be able to count on having a lot of working capital, and wants to have employees.

The other members of the group make a living in knitting and making artisan products.

There are 14 people in the photograph but only ten are taking out a loan on this occasion, because the others did not meet the requirements.
