Vahe's story

Vahe is a young farmer from Aravus village of Syuniq region. He lives with his elderly pensioner grandparents. To take care of his family Vahe is extensively engaged in agribusiness; he is involved in cattle breeding, in aviculture, and in breeding a livestock of sheep. He sells the agricultural products in the local market, which is his only source of income. Vahe works very hard and is the one taking care of his elderly grandparents. As their needs are increasing over time Vahe wants to expand his agribusiness. A loan of USD 3000 will be a great support to this young hard-working farmer enabling him to purchase three cows. As this is Vahe’s first loan, it has been approved within the framework of the new joint initiative of Kiva and SEF. The first-chance loan program provides loans to people who didn’t have access to credit products before, because they have no credit history. Vahe and his family rely on the goodwill of the lenders and will be very thankful to them for their help.
