He is an agriculturalist and rears cattle and grows maize and banana in a plantation. Rusiano is a businessman who deals in a retail shop, which he considers as his side business. He started his business in 1990.

He works 7 days a week and 10 hours per day, and started his business to get money for school fees. He has acquired this loan to buy fertilizers for his agricultural products. His clients are traders from the city and those from the villages around his home.

His future hope is to be the leading supplier of agricultural products in the district. The challenge he faces is the unpredictable weather, like too much drought that ends up making every crop dry.

He describes himself as an honest and hardworking man who encourages lenders to reduce the interest rates to enable low income earners to access loans.
