A loan of $850 helped buy metal sheets, welding rods, iron bars.

Youssouf's story

Born around 1981 in Kai, Youssouf is a married man, father of four children, who lives with his family in Loulouni, a sub-prefecture of Sikasso (third region of the Republic of Mali).

For the past six years, Youssouf's business activity has been welding metal constructions and selling doors, windows, and chairs. He enjoys a strong reputation in this business and receives many orders, but his resources do not enable him to satisfy them.

Thus he decided to collaborate with Soro Yiriwaso. He is on his fifth loan, and previous loans have been repaid.

He intends to use the loan to buy metal sheets, welding rods and iron bars. They will be used for his welding services and to manufacture the doors, windows and chairs he will offer for sale.

He expects to make a monthly profit of 115,000 CFA francs that will be used to help with family expenses, pay the interest on the loan and invest the rest in his activity.
