Vicky's story

This is Vicky, 27, resident of Batasan, Quezon City, Philippines. She is married to Ronald, an installer, and a mother to her children. She together with her husband manages their own household, and she works hard to continually provide income for her everyday expenses.

Vicky makes and sells rice cakes and rice dishes. These are foods commonly eaten for snacks and sometimes after meal for desserts. She sells it per order and it is in demand on special occasions and holidays. Her regular customers are her neighbors and the local community. She earns a minimum of Php 500 in sales every day.

To help her continue operations of her business, she is requesting a Php 12,000 loan. She will be utilizing the loan to buy different ingredients needed in making dainties like rice, flour, sugar, coconut and other ingredients.

Vicky dreams that her business will grow bigger and last longer. She meets up with her co-fellowship members to share stories of her work every week and where she can also draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and pay Micro Finance loans.
