El Arbolito 4 (Portoviejo) Group's story

In the city of Portoviejo, the capital of Manabí province, known for years for its airport, Reales Tamarindos, the members of the group "Grupo de Crédito El Arbolito 4" meet every fifteen days. The group was founded by 11 woman and 2 men some time ago with the goal of helping its members get ahead with their businesses and provide their family with better at the same time.

One member of this group is Genith, a woman of 47 years of age, who is married and has four grown children, three of whom are studying at the university. Her husband is a taxi driver.

Genith's intention was to earn something herself and use that to help her children with their schooling. Her business is selling sheets, quilts, towels, and similar products. She travels throughout her neighborhood in her free time and is able to rely on a very strong customer base, which she has obtained through her seven years of experience in this business.

This loan will be used to purchase more household linens, among other products which she sells. She has been in the group since the beginning and she hopes to continue receiving these loans for a long time. Her dream is to see her children become professionals.
