A loan of $725 helped build a barn for her pigs.

Yrma Rosa's story

Yrma Rosa is 45 years old. She lives with her husband and their children in the district of Oyotun, where people work in agriculture, trade, and cattle ranching. They live two hours from Chiclayo, on the northern coast of Peru.

She raises and sells young animals out of the back of her home, including ducks, pigs, chickens, turkeys, and guinea pigs. Her business is well known in the area, and her distribution ranges throughout the neighboring villages in her community.

She is requesting a loan of 2,000 nuevos soles to build a barn for her pigs on some land near her home. This way she will be able to offer her products to her customers, generating greater income for her family.
