Ligia Hiomaly's story

Ligia Hiomaly is 20 years old and comes from Leon, which is located in the west. She's known to be hard-working and responsible, with the drive to succed in her life. She works very hard to succeed in life, in spite of the financial hardships that her family has been going through. She decided to continue studying and working at the same time, so that she can make something of herself and have a brighter future. Thanks to her efforts and her drive to get ahead, she runs a door-to-door business selling plastic products such as thermos, buckets and other items, as well as cosmetics such as eye shadow, blush, beauty products, eyeliner, under eye concealers, anti-wrinkle cream, moisturizer, perfume, body stockings and lipstick. She works 10 hours a day offering her products. The purpose of the loan is to get working capital and stock her business, so that she can improve her profits in a not-so-distant future. Ligia thanks Kiva lenders for the help they provide to people of scarce financial resources in poor countries like Nicaragua so they can have a decent means of livelihood.
