Anahit is a farmer from Deghdzut village of Ararat region. She lives with her husband, two daughters (19 and 17 years old), and son (15 years old). It has been more than 15 years since Anahit and her family started to be extensively engaged in agribusiness. With the help of her husband, she breeds a livestock of oxen, piglets, and hens and cultivates beans, peach, apricot, cherries, plum, strawberries, apple and pear. They realize the agricultural products at the local market, which is the main source of family’s income.

To continue running her agribusiness in a sustainable way, Anahit needs to make some investments in it. She particularly needs a loan of USD 2,000 to purchase fertilizers, some forage for the livestock, and tree layers. The loan will help her greatly to maintain and develop her agribusiness.

As this is Anahit’s first loan, it has been approved within the framework of the new joint initiative between Kiva and SEF. The first-chance loan program provides loans to people who don't have access to credit products before because they have no credit history. The family will be very thankful to the lenders for their goodwill and support in collecting the needed loan.
