A loan of $1,450 helped purchase a mule and a head of cattle.

Augusto's story

Augusto is 37 years old. He lives with his wife and two children in the Pomahuaca district. The people grow fruit, coffee, rice and cacao, sell the same items and livestock. It is two hours from the city of Jaén in the northern mountains of Peru.

He sells cattle and mules. Augusto buys the livestock in nearby communities and he sells his goods in Chiple, an area where a large part of the ranchers meet to sell heads of cattle.

He has requested a loan of 4,000 nuevos soles to purchase a mule and a head of cattle to offer to his customers. With these sales, he will be able to generate more income for his family.
