Segundo Concepcion's story

Segundo Concepcion is 66 years old and lives along with his wife and sons in Chafan, a district of San Felipe. People in the area work growing fruit and rice, selling those same crops, and raising livestock. The town is located two hours from the city of Jaén, in the northern mountains of Perú.

He has a farm where he grows and sells limes, and he has been working in this field for more than 10 years. He product is distributed in the neighboring zones of his district, and he also grows coffee which will be harvested after the new year.

He is asking for a loan of 3600 nuevos soles (Peruvian currency) in order to maintain his fields by purchasing fertilizer and in this way have a better crop to offer his customers, generating more income for his family.
