Leonilda is 48 years old. She lives with her husband and child in the rural Playa Azul settlement in the Colasay district. The population here works in agriculture, commerce, and animal husbandry. This area is 2 hours from Jaen province in the Cajamarca region, in the northern highlands of Peru

Leonilda has a small store where she sells consumer staples such as milk, beans, and rice. She has requested a loan of 2,500 Peruvian soles to buy inventory for the Christmas season such as panettones, wine, Christmas light decorations, and other products. This way, she can generate more income for her family.

Leonilda tiene 48 años de edad, vive junto a su esposo e hijo en el caserío de Playa Azul, distrito de Colasay, su población se dedica a la agricultura, comercio y ganadería a dos horas de la Provincia de Jaén Región Cajamarca, sierra norte del Perú.

Tiene una bodeguita que ofrece productos de primera necesidad leche, menestras, arroz, ha solicitado un préstamo de 2 500 nuevos soles para la compra de campaña navideña panetones, vinos, arreglos navideños luces, entre otros y de esta manera generar mayores ingresos para su familia.

This product was created to assist Edpyme Alternativa to expand their reach into rural areas of Northern Peru in order to attend more underserved populations. Kiva funding allows the institution to access the Northern areas of the Piura, Lambayeque, and Cajamarca regions, which are generally too costly to serve and therefore less attended by financial institutions.
