A loan of $1,075 helped to purchase nutritional feed and build a barnyard to keep pigs.

Juana Elizabeth's story

Juana Elizabeth is 30 years old and lives with her family in the Zaña district. The residents of this district work in agriculture, commerce, and ranching. It is located two hours from the city of Chiclayo, on Perú's northern coast.

Three years ago, she started raising and selling small animals in her backyard. Juana reports that she decided to do this to help her husband with household expenses. They are a united family; her husband provides labor services to farmers.

She has requested a loan of 3,000 nuevos soles to purchase nutritional feed and to build a barnyard and purchase pigs so that she will be able to make more money to support her family.
