A loan of $900 helped to purchase sewing materials like fabric, buttons, needles, doilies, elastic, and thread in bulk.

Doris's story

Doris, who is 45 years old, is a hardworking, entrepreneurial woman who wants to succeed. She is married to William, who is a police officer and is also the father of her 16-year-old son José. She loves them both very much. She lives with them in her own home.

She makes a living by making clothing. She learned this job when she was helping a friend in her clothing workshop. With the money that she was able to save during this period, she purchased her own sewing machine. Since then, she has been doing this job for 10 years, during which she has been able to make herself known and work on her storefront little by little.

Currently, she creates, designs, and repairs all types of clothing. She has two other women helping her to fill all of the orders that her customers make. She likes her job because it allows her to earn money to pay for household expenses.

She would like to expand her business, install more machines, and open a larger workshop where she can better serve her customers and create more jobs for women.

At this time, she is requesting a loan of 2,500 nuevos soles. She is thankful and happy to know that she can continue to count on the support that she needs to grow her business. With the loan that she has requested, she will purchase sewing materials like fabric, buttons, needles, doilies, elastic, and thread in bulk so that she can continue to do her job.
