A loan of $800 helped to buy more phones and accessories for sale.

Robert's story

Robert is 35 years old and lives in the town of Kachwamba, Uganda. He is married and has one child who is currently in school. For the past 5 years, Robert has been working hard to manage his phone and accessories business, which deals with the repair and maintenance of phones.

To help expand his business, Robert has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more phones and accessories for sale and will help Robert to generate greater profits and take care of his family's basic needs. Robert hopes that in the future he will be able to have a sustainable business.

Robert is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Robert who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
