Razia's story

Razia is 31 years old, married, and the mother of 5 children. She is involved in business doing hand-embroidery. She is passionate about her work and client demand is strong. However, business challenges combined with family expenditures frustrate her nearly every day. Her husband is doing work in a factory but he does not earn enough to support his family well. Razia's embroidery patterns are very popular on her street. She is the best earning resource in her household, and she wants to grow her business. Razia requested a loan of 30,000 Pakistani Rupees to buy raw materials such as thread, sequins and pearls in large quantities to meet the increasing demand. She shared her dream of running a training center for girls of her village and she is also interested in opening her own shop in the market to display her work.
