A loan of $500 helped to buy cream, lotions, perfumes, vials, etc. for her business.

Maria Cristina's story

María is a very hard-working and responsible person. She lives with her family in a department in the south of Honduras. For 7 years she has been carrying out her business , which consists of selling perfumes and cosmetics. She runs her business out of a room in her house in the municipality where she lives. She also sells her products by travelling around in areas near to where she lives.

Maria needs the loan to buy creams, lotions, perfumes, vials, etc., which she uses to carry on with her work. She hopes to improve her business by increasing the diversity of her products, so that her sales increase. Her hope is that this will help her a lot, because currently she doesn't have enough products to be able to meet her customers' requests.

Thanks to the loan, she hopes to be able to improve her family's quality of life with the increase in household income. In the short term, she hopes to expand her business and thus to continue supporting her family and her children.
