Zahida's story

Zahida bjai is the wife of M. S. and lives in an area named Yadgar (a famous historical place) in Lahore, Pakistan. She has lived in Yadgar for the last 4 years. She has five children: three girls and two boys. Her elder son is married. Her younger son has a milk shop where he sells milk from his own buffaloes. Her daughters completed their education until the 10th standard. Now they are in an age of marriage.

Zahida baji's husband sells plastic utensils in different areas of Lahore. Zahida baji has a livestock business. She takes care of her buffaloes as if they were her own children. She gets up early in the morning to milk them and to give them food. Her monthly income is $394. Zahida baji is very happy because last week one of her buffalo gave birth to a calf. She is applying for a loan to expand her livestock business and to expand her son's milk business.
