A loan of $725 helped to buy corn, beer, and animal feed.

Agustina's story

Agustina, 48, lives with her three children in the La Matanza district, two hours from the city of Piura on the northern coast of Peru. The people there work in agriculture, commerce, and ranching.

Agustina makes a living selling "chicha de jora" [corn beer] and beer and raising small livestock in back of her home. She has requested a loan for 2,000 nuevos soles [PEN] to buy corn, beer, and feed for her livestock so she can generate more income for her family.
