A loan of $375 helped to purchase food pellets and pigs.

Yohana's story

Yohana is 25 years old. She lives with her husband in the district of Cayaltí, a community which relies on agriculture, commerce and ranching, located two hours away from the city of Chiclayo on the northern coast of Perú.

She raises and sells small animals such as turkeys, ducks, pigs and guinea pigs in the lot behind her home. She is requesting a loan of 1,000 nuevos soles to purchase feed for the animals, and the second part of the loan will go towards the purchase of pigs. In this manner her business will grow, generating greater income for her family.
